Managing Your Words

Spot a word or phrase you want to remember and review later? Just look for the Bookmark button bookmark icon! Tapping this button instantly adds the item to your personal "Saved Words" list, making it easy to find and practice later.

State: Ready to Save

This icon means the word is not yet in your "Saved Words." Click it to add the word.

State: Word Saved!

This icon shows the word is in your "Saved Words." Click it again to remove the word.

Where You'll Find the Bookmark Button

You can bookmark words from various places throughout the Fluentspeak application, ensuring you can capture vocabulary whenever you encounter it. Keep an eye out for the bookmark icon in these key areas:

Getting to Your Words Page

  1. Open the main Fluentspeak menu using the hamburger icon in the top-left hand corner of the screen.
  2. From the menu, select the "My Words" option.

Viewing Your Saved Words

There are two places you can see your bookmarked words:

Want to study more words at once? Use the "Items per page" dropdown at the bottom of the word list to show up to 50 words.

Removing Words from Your List

Keeping your list focused is key! You can easily remove words you've mastered or added by mistake.

Method 1: From the "My Words" Page

  1. Navigate to your "My Words" page.

  2. Find the word you want to remove.

  3. Click the "remove" icon Remove word from list button associated with that word.

Method 2: From Anywhere You See the Bookmark

  1. If you encounter a word (e.g., in a dictionary search or lesson) that's already saved, its bookmark icon will look "active" or filled in.

  2. Simply click this active bookmark icon Remove bookmark button again.

Remember you can add words back at any time, for any reason, as many times as you like! Don't be worried about removing words and keeping your list up-to-date.

Notifications

When you add or remove a word from your saved word list you will receive a brief notification to confirm.
